The Ontario Police Department and Springfield Fire Department are working together on conducting Neighborhood Watch meetings. The Neighborhood Watch program was formed in Ontario in August 2007. Neighborhood Watch is neighbors watching out for themselves and each other to make Ontario a safer place to live. Neighborhood Watch costs only the time it takes for you to care about your neighbors. Please come to the meeting and help us discover ways to improve the quality of life in your neighborhood.
In the past meeting notices have been handed out door to door, and placed into mailboxes. From now on meeting notices will be sent out quarterly, on our neighborhood alert system, our Facebook page and our Web Page. The meetings usually last approximately one hour.
Lastly, we hope to post the highlights from each meeting on our Web Page so if you miss a meeting you can still benefit from the information. To sign up for notifications about Neighborhood Watch Meetings and other important announcements click here.
