The Ontario Police Department currently has 1 Master Crime Scene Technician and 2 Crime Scene Technicians awaiting Master Technician status.  The Crime Scene Technicians are utilized for the collection of evidence at most major crimes.

Evidence / Property Room Management: Arrested person wishing to get property back must obtain a court order from the court of jurisdiction stating that the property is to be released.  The order must specify which property.  Property used in the commission of a crime will not be returned to the charged person in accordance with Ohio Revised Code.  When property is going to be returned, please contact the police department and make arrangements to lessen your wait time.  You must bring the copy of your court ordered release and a photo I.D.
